Funding:
The 2006-year operating budget was over $350,000. Grant funding makes up less than 30 % of the budget. Major funding sources include the United Way (17% of the budget) and grants from Illinois Department of Human Service, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The majority of the budget comes from fund raising efforts, donations and memorials. Fund raising activities of the board of directors include a Corporate Pledge campaign, golf tournament, wreath sales, an auction, and an individual giving campaign called It Just Takes One.
